AIN'T NO WORK

I don't like standing in the unemployment line
a job would get me out of this hard time
but there ain't no work Lord, Aint no work in Tennessee
Been out of work so long them budget cuts are bleedin' me
I don't like askin' somebody for a break
but the cost of livin' is more than I can make
there ain't no work Lord ain't no work in o-hi-o
been lookin for employment since the record hit a low
Texas, Utah, Alabama
North Dakota, South Dakota, Indiana
California, Florida, Kentucky
Virginia, Michigan, Mississippi
there ain't no work Lord ain't no work in Tennessee
been out of work so long them budget cuts are bleedin' me.
You wouldn't want to live with these unemployed blues
Lord knows I gave my share, to pay this countrys dues
already sold my house, now my car is up for sale
this working man just got his long time budget cut to hell
Texas -Utah- Alabama
North Dakota, South Dakota, Indiana
Califoria ,Florida Kentucky
virginia, - Michigan- Mississippi.
no, there ain't no work Lord
ain't no work in ohio
been lookin for employment
since the record hit a low..

Slow Down

hard times are all around
too many plants are closing down
around the world echo's the sound
ain't no work in this here town..

when a man don't want to beg
and the law says he can't steal
where is he supposed to turn?
it's a welfare line
or doing some time
and i never spent a dime i didn't earn...

it's coming to a slow down
all the plants are closing down
hard times are all around
ain't no work in this here town.

ain't no work in this here town
factories are closing down
around the world echo's the sound
ain't no work in this here town...

I wrote this when I heard one of the grandkids was getting road rage..`....hoping to Make her stop & think...

THE DINER..

Tommy Allen runs a diner
just outside of Nelsonville
folks get off the interstate
to eat a home cooked meal.
his wife had seven daughters
before junior came along
they grew up at the diner
Tommy Alllen sang this song
He'd sing
kids just be good kids
don't let your anger rule
walk away from trouble
and never lose your cool
if someone tries to rob us
don't play hero be real smart
money don't meen a blessed thing
but losing you would brek my heart.

One night the rain was pourin'
man it was coming down
every booth and chair was full
people standing all around.
late that night when Tommy closed
and they walked to their van
four men in a blue mustang
robed them and off they ran.
tommy said
kids just be good kids
don't let your anger rule
walk away from trouble,
and never lose your cool.
if someone tries to rob us
don't play hero be real smart
money don't meen a blessed thing.
but losing you would break my heart.

Junior had his pickup
and he went to the interstate
it was heavy rain he was speedin high
and his mind was full of hate.
he must of drove ten miles before
a mustang came in view
two in the front, two in the back
and it was the color blue.
kids just be good kids
don't let your anger rule
walk away from trouble
and never lose your cool
if someone tries to rob us
don't play hero be real smart
money don't meen a blessed thing
but losin you would break my heart.

well he took his truck and ramed them
then he ramed them once again
the driver of the mustang
lost control and started to spin
it spun around three times
then went airborn so they say
worst accident in Union county
all four were d.o.a.
kids just be good kids
don't let your anger rule
walk away from trouble,
never lose your cool
if someone tries to rob us ,
don't play hero be real smart
money don't meen a blessed thing
but losin you would break my heart.

tommy pulled of to the side
and he got out to check
if he could find the money from
the diner out of the wreck
he saw it was two couples
coming home from somewhere late
junior looked in the back seat
and he saw his sister Kate..................

Lyric

"Bring Our Soldiers Home"

Their our husbands , wives and nephews
brothers sisters daughters and sons
mothers and fathers,aunts and uncles
friends and neighbors, To every one....
Amber lives in scottstown by the lake
for a year now she's been living all alone
every night she says a loving prayer for Jake
Lord, bring my husband safely home..
bring her husband Home Sir,
bring her husband home safe and sound
on a American ground
bring her husband home Sir,
bring her husband home safe and sound
on American ground...
Well you Sir are the one who decided
that we would fight the war that's raging on
and You Sir are the one who keeps insisting
that we're fighting to keep Us safe from harm
Please won't you....
bring our soldiers home Sir
bring our soldiers home safe and sound
On American ground
bring our Soldiers home sir
bring our children home safe and sound
on American ground...
Their our husbands wives and nephews
Brothers sisters, daughters and sons
mothers and fathers aunts and uncles
friends and neighbors to everyone
bring our soldiers home sir
bring our soldiers home safe and sound
On American ground
bring our soldiers home sir
bring our loved ones home safe and sound
on American ground...
now i know you think your right in what your doing
but it's causing lots of people to go down
this country needs a new plan a new direction
what it is your fighting for can not be found...
so, bring our soldiers home sir
bring our loved ones home safe and sound
on American ground
bring our brothers home sir
bring our sisters home safe and sound
on American ground....
bring our neighbors home sir
bring our loved ones home safe and sound
on american ground...

 Lyric-Stacey Hall

STACEY HALL

Every day at sunset, Stacey got behind the wheel
drove down a country road,to a small church on a hill
she sat on them concrete steps, winter summer spring and fall
people drove by all the time, just to stare a Stacey Hall
it's better than a play ground, she told her friends and family.
it's a play ground for my kids, but it's a house of God to me.
One day Sister Susan, called up Brother Paul
said I'm gettin tired, gettin tired of seeing Stacey Hall
she don't belong to our church and I don't like her at all
I think the elders of our church should talk to Stacey Hall.
Well the congregation gathered, as the sun began to fall
and faithfully they all agreed, they'd soon see Stacey Hall.
Suddenly the sky turned black and a bolt of lightening hits
a tree beyond the little church where the congregation sits.
brothers don't judge brothers, sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully and praise praise praise His name.
Stacey saw the hurricane, just as she pulled in
and she was glad to see some cars and rushed inside to warn them
once inside the basement, where they was safe and warm
the Elders watched as Stacey clutched Her Bible through that storm.
I say, brothers don't judge brothers, sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully and praise praise praise His name.
Now every day at sunrise, Stacey meets with everyone
to rebuild the little church they're working till the settin' sun
the children love playing hide and seek and the Elders one and all
love to drive by their little church, just to wave at Stacey hall.
brothers don't judge brothers, sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully and praise praise praise His name.

once inside the new church a book fell from a pew
and there in bold black letters said "I will judge not you"

FULL MOON FRIDAY NIGHT...

Last i saw her she was drivin'
with the top down on her car
Headed east on Hampton road
Lookin' like a movie star.
that little bumper sticker
on her fender said it right
the tame go wild wild wild
on a full moon friday night.

when the moon is full
the fish are biting
shadows fall in a different light
when the moon is full
the tame go wild wild wild
tonights a full moon friday night.

last she saw of me, was the back of my harley
on rock run road, kickin up dust
headed to a place we go to be alone
just gettin back to gettin back to us.

repeat chorus

tomorrow we'll get back to basics
paying bills, listening to the kids fight
back to work and daily livin
thinkin' bout this full moon friday night.

repeat chorus

 Results of My Number test....

This is so true of me that it kinda upset me..

Your Life Path Number is 5

Your purpose in life is to life freely and collect experiences.

You love life - new adventures, new people, new ideas.

You are very curious, and you crave novelty in all forms.

You tend to make friends easily, and you enjoy the company of all types of people.

In love, you are fun and even a bit intoxicating. But you won't stick around for long.

You are impulsive and spontaneous - which sometimes leads you to do things you regret.

Sometimes you can be overindulgent with food, sex, or drugs.

You have many talents, so many that you are often scattered and unfocused.
