 21'st Century Trap (lyric)

21st Century Trap...

Everybody thinks they know what i need
it's in newspapers, all over the t.v.
but i ain't buyin' into all that crap
it's a 21st. century trap.

I like old jeans and tennis shoes
my 86 escort, runs like new
our house ain't a mansion on a hill
but we don't owe the bank a bill.

Got a big antena bolted to my shed
a fire place and a feather bed.
my motorcycle don't take much gas
if they want my money they can kiss my ass.

(repeat chorus..1st verse)

I grew a vegtable garden big enough
to keep us goin' when the gettin' gets tough
and that big old pile of wood out back
will make this house a warm cozy shack.
I like my cloths dried on the line
we go fishin' and huntin all the time
Ain't nothin' better than a fresh cooked bass
if they want my money they can kiss my ass.

everybody thinks they know what i need
it's in newspapers all over t.v.
but i ain't buyin' into all that crap
it's a 21st century trap.

 Budget Cut Blues....

BUDGET CUT BLUES.....

I can't afford the price of gas
can't eat and pay my rent
spend every day workin'
just to cover what's been spent.
It seems like only yesterday
I thought them cuts should be
but if they were gonna cut somebody
why the hell did they cut me?

Let's take it back to congress
back to the senate
back to the goverment
and the politicians who spent it
let's take anouther vote
cause Lord i can't afford these dues
I got the lookin' for work
Hit by a budget cut blues

I thought it was a good idea
till a lot of folks got burnt
I'm sore because i voted for
the cuts that got me hurt.
Let's take it back to congress
back to the senate
back to the goverment
and the politicians who spent it.
Let's take anouther vote
cause Lord i can't afford these dues
I got the lookin for work
Hit by a budget cut blues

Lyric, Thank God For Workin' Women....

She gets up in the morning
gets the kids off to school
makes me a big breakfest
Lord, I feel like such a fool.
cause she'll clean the house leave by 2
won't be back till after ten.
God bless the workin women
holdin' up the workin' man.

Their nurses in hospitals
soldiers in Irac and Iran
their teachers in the classrooms
doing any job they can...
it ain't how daddy did it
ain't a 1990 plan
God bless the working women
hold up the workin man.

my job went overseas
some went to Mexico
makin' 17 a hour Lord
seems so long ago,
daddy always was the one
who made out the budget plan
God bless the workin women
holding up the workin man.

they're cops and firefighters
working any job they can
God bless the workin women
holding up the workin man
it ain't how daddy did it
ain't some 1990 plan...
God bless the women
holding up the working man...

 Crankin Up The Blues....Lyric

Cranking up the blues...

The wind is howling mama
there's a bad storm blowing in
the wind is singing baby
there's a bad one drifting in...

there's a cold beer in the freezor
a fire burning we can't lose
come on & light some candles baby
cause i'm cranking up the blues.....

It could be dust storm
it could be a hurricane
rain or snow, i don't know
but it's blowing up something
there's a cold beer in the freezor
a fire burning we can't lose
I got some meat on the grill Baby
and i'm cranking up the blues....

It could be a earth quake
it could be a big down pour
A hail storm or tornado
but something blowing in for sure...
there's a cold beer in the freezor
a fire burning we can't lose
light some candles i got meat on the grill
and i'm craking up the blues....

it could just be rumbling thunder
it could be a lightning show
but nothings gonna distract us
come on let that bad boy blow..

cause there's a cold beer in the freezor
a fire burning we can't lose
light some candels i got meat on the grill
and i'm cranking up the blues...

light some candles, i got meat on the grill
and i'm crankin up the blues....

 Hero's ( Poem)

HEROS..

"I hear it coming", said the boy
as we waited for it to appear
sirens roared above the crowd
as he jumped up and hollered "it's here"
such a sight it was to see
the parade that Memorial Day
with flags and floats & marching bands
in salute to those passed away.
"I'll race you home" the young boy said
as the parade faded from view
"I don't like the graveyard part
they're just hero's that we never knew"

It was fate that found the boy
had grown through years to be
a soldier boy who gave his life
to uphold this land so free.
such a sight it will be
the parade this Memorial Day
with flags and floats & marching bands
in salute to those passed away
"I'll race you home" the young will shout
when the parade fades from their view
but me I like the graveyard part
there's a hero that i once knew.....
