I wrote both these lyrics witin the past couple hours...so i plan to work on them again...this is just the idea for two lyrics & i'll go back over and over and work on them...Some come out of me fast, and i never make a change...some takes weeks and years to finish.

I was riding in the car yesterday, just sitting quietly by my husband, thinking to myself and it hapend to me again...I saw a dead dog laying along the side of the road..and I'd heard the lyrics to springsteen's song "Reason to believe" ( which is the title to my blog by the way) over and over again..It's something that happens every time i see a dead dog on the road..The lyrics say....Seen a man standing by a dead dog, by the highway in a ditch, lookin down kinda puzzled. poking that dog with a stick. had the car door flung open,out on highway 31. like if he stood there long enough, that dog would get up and run..man it struck me kinda funny, seemed kinda funny Sir to me, how at the end of every hard earned day, people find some reason to believe....it has other verses but that one always pops into my head. This song touched me in a way, that I think, made me a better person. It was over 20 years ago, that i first heard it and started listening to Springsteen.
It's funny how a writer can touch us. It's so true, no matter what happens in our lives, no matter if it's good or really bad, at the end of the day, we still seem to find a reason to believe.
May you always end each day, with a reason to believe......

While sitting on a distant hill, After a day of rain
The sun began to set & wet, I sat there just the same.

I watched the sky & knew that I, would soon get presents of
A Sunset only God could give,to all who know His love.

It didn't have much color to, the sky but it was grand
rays came out as though to say, I'm here just take my hand.

i turned away then I looked back, but everything had changed
the sky i saw I'd seen before,it made me feel so strange.

there seemed to me, to be a eye, within the winter sky
and soon the sight was darkend & the stars were saying hi.

I guess if i wasn't there. with a camera in the rain
I wouldn't have the cold I got,( are all poets this insaine?)

But me i think it's sunday and, it's pouring buckets here
If i go out about tonight. I'll keep my camera near...

November is here already??????


November is here, oh dear, oh dear..
I'm not ready for , this time of year!
It's time to buy plastic & rock salt at the store
and find the snow shovel (I'll need it for sure..)
I don't like warming my car up and such.
(November, I really don't like you too much)
all you are is the start and the end of it all
if i could choose ,i'd just let it stay fall..
I know Old man winter is moving right in
today i felt a chill, (I just know it was him...)
he's bringing his ice, his slush and his snow
He's really a hastle and puts on such a show...
He's chasing Autumn away and i'm sad
That man is too pushy - he makes me so mad...

I overheard Autumn today
saying she must go away...
I wish she'd just refuse to go
but Winter's bugging her, i Know..
I wish that she would just say no
and we could skip the ice and snow..
but I fear that what she said is true
( I've felt winter coming, havn't you?)
Oh Autumn I will wait for you
through winter, spring and summer too
because,none of them can compare
to seeing Autumn everywhere.......
